My friend Melissa invited me to come along on a special before-hours tour of the National Portrait Gallery with her and her Art History graduate class. Warren Perry, one of her classmates, is a curator at the museum and was our charismatic guide. I learned a lot and was impressed by his vast knowledge of the artists and works of art. Warren also shared some entertaining background stories about certain pieces with us. I took this photo of Melissa with her classmates as a momentum for her — she’s the second one from the right.
