My friend Damon, a professional photographer, was going to Great Falls National Park in McLean,Va., for an assignment and let me tag along with him and take photos. I hadn’t been to Great Falls in more than 15 years. I had forgotten how remarkable it is. Through my photos I tried to capture the texture of my surroundings. I also tried to capture the beauty in the dried/dead trees and their amazing roots. I loved how the positions of some of the trees and branches looked like sculptures. I’m selling reprints of my photos to put towards my London trip fund.
