On a beautiful spring day I decided to go on a DC adventure to the Eastern Market, one of my favorite outdoor markets. While I was there I spotted some unusual purses on display made out of old hard cover books. I spoke with Caitlin, the knowledgeable and bubbly owner of Rebound Designs (love the name). She explained to me how the purses could be stored on bookshelves by tucking the handles inside the bag … female James Bond style. She also uses old book covers to make Kindle, Nook, iPad covers and more — truly creative and a great way to recycle! As an editor and purse aficionado, I had to buy one.
